This policy explains, in plain language, what information Blinkode collects, how we use it, when we share it and what choices visitors and account holders have.
1. What we collect
When you create an account or sign in we collect basic data such as your email, display name, login credentials, plan status and preferences like language. When you create a short link we store the destination, slug, chosen domain, expiration date and logs related to that link. When someone uses a short link or the customer API we also record timestamps, request details and limited security and traffic information.
2. Cookies and preferences
Blinkode uses cookies and similar browser storage for login, language, theme and consent preferences. If you accept cookies, we may also enable optional analytics tools such as Google Tag Manager to understand site usage and improve Blinkode.
3. How we use it
We use this information to provide the service, allow user access, manage accounts and subscriptions, create and route short links, support the customer API, detect abuse, handle support and billing issues, and keep Blinkode secure and reliable.
4. Sharing with service providers
We do not sell personal information. We share limited data with providers only when necessary to operate Blinkode; for example, Resend manages email delivery, Stripe processes billing, Cloudflare helps with certain security functions and custom domains, and Google may be used for login or destination security checks. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the service and its users.
5. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, support operations and billing and comply with legal obligations. Some records expire automatically and others are kept until they are deleted or no longer needed.
6. Your choices
You can manage certain account settings within Blinkode, rotate or revoke API keys and review language, theme and cookie preferences from Blinkode controls or your browser settings.
